D1Arrival – Chiang Mai

Upon arrival, be met and transferred to your hotel.    

Start your Chiang Mai adventure with a classic boat trip around the city river, followed by free time to take in fresh sights and browse a local market filled with fresh fruits, and arts and crafts. 

After dinner, enjoy a night market experience at the Chiang Mai night bazaar.

D2Chiang Mai

This morning, visit the Tribal Museum to learn about Thailand’s hill tribes. (if museum is closed, we will visit Queen Sirikit Botanic Gardens). Afterwards, head to the elephant camp. See how the elephants live and are cared for, before going on a cow-pulled cart through scenic Thai countryside vistas.

After lunch, enjoy an adventurous meander down the Mae Tang River on bamboo raft. Then ride a tuk-tuk to explore the ancient town before relaxing to a fantastic Thai Emperor's dinner at the grand Chiangmai City Arts and Cultural Center, accompanied by traditional musical theatre.

D3Chiang Mai

Awake to an invigorating Thai cooking class, as you learn from an expert local Chef and finally get to cook truly authentic Thai recipes.

In the afternoon, see how the local community specialises in umbrella-making in order to maintain local culture. Umbrella-making has been part of this locality for over 200 years. Take the opportunity to get souvenirs for family back home from the local street shops and boutiques.

Thereafter, visit Ninman street (The University Street), to see the new, bohemian culture of uniquely designed cafés and shops, all of which show the new artistic nature of the modern generation.

Last but not least, the Chiang Mai Night Safari in the wild animal zoo is a highight as you can closely observe lions, tigers, bers, wolves and all of nature big-hitters as they roam the night.

D4Chiang Mai – Chiang Rai

Today, focus on religion, culture and history, with visits to the white temple and house temple in Chiang Rai.

The white temple (Wat Rong Khun) is renowned in Thailand and the world over for its Thai style of delicate architecture, rich with historic meaning. The black house is a more macabre showcase of ancient hunting tools and skeletons, which took celebrated local artist Thawan Duchaneen 36 years to complete.

After dinner, wind down with an authentic Traditional Thai Massage.

D5Chiang Mai - Departure

Today, start your tour with a local gem, the double dragon temple, Wat Phrathat Dos Suthep. Sitting on a gorgeous mountain top 1667 feet high, and as the most famous temple in the Northern Thailand, you can view the entire landscape of Chiangmai.

After taking in the whole city, move to the future by visiting the biggest 3D museum in the world.

Finally, experience the daily life of the modern Thai generation by visiting the newer parts of the city after lunch, before transferring to the airport.

Cancellation Policy

If any cancellation is received following a booking, the following general cancellation policy will apply:

  • Between 30 and 21 days prior to arrival : 20% of total amount is due
  • Between 20 and 7 days prior to arrival : 50% of total amount is due
  • Between 6 days and 2 day prior to arrival: 75% of total amount is due
  • 1 day or No-show: 100% of total amount is due

Thomas Cook China will not be liable for performance delays or for non-performance, due to causes beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to acts of God, actions by any government authority (whether valid or invalid), fires, floods, windstorms, riots, explosions, natural disasters, wars, sabotage, labor problems (including lockouts, strikes and slowdowns), or court injunction or order.
