This afternoon, explore Xiamen, a beautiful coastal city with a slow-paced life. Visit the Golden Ring Road for the scenery and South Putuo Temple, a famous Buddhist temple. Xiamen University is considered of the most beautiful universities in China, making for beautiful photographs.

D2Xiamen – Nanxia - Xiamen

Today’s highlight is the Hakka Earth Buildings. Drive 3.5 hours through the scenic mountains of Fujian and explore the interesting ancient rural architectures built by the Hakka, one of China’s ethnic minorities. The earthen houses, are vernacular buildings that provided communal living of hundreds of families and reinforced the structure of clans, protecting them from outside invasions. The Hakka Earth Buildings was announced the Eight World Wonder by the UNESCO.

D3Xiamen - Gulanyu - Xiamen

Visit Gulangyu Island. “Gulang” literally means “Drum Waves”, which indicates the sound caused by the waves hitting the reefs and rocks. “Yu” refers to “Island” in Chinese.  On the island, you will visit the Shuzhuang Garden and Piano Museum which displays over 100 classic famous pianos collected from all over the world. Return to Xiamen and stroll along Zhongshan Road Pedestrian Street, a leisure, entertainment and food center in Xiamen.

Cancellation Policy

If any cancellation is received following a booking, the following general cancellation policy will apply:

  • Between 30 and 21 days prior to arrival : 20% of total amount is due
  • Between 20 and 7 days prior to arrival : 50% of total amount is due
  • Between 6 days and 2 day prior to arrival: 75% of total amount is due
  • 1 day or No-show: 100% of total amount is due

Thomas Cook China will not be liable for performance delays or for non-performance, due to causes beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to acts of God, actions by any government authority (whether valid or invalid), fires, floods, windstorms, riots, explosions, natural disasters, wars, sabotage, labor problems (including lockouts, strikes and slowdowns), or court injunction or order.
