This morning, you will leave Shanghai by coach (around 2 ½ hours).

Once arrived in Huzhou’s surrounding area, you will visit the Tang Dynasty tribute tea house.

Legend has it that the original Tang Dynasty tribute tea house was built in AD 770. Built in wood and  according to traditional Chinese architecture, the Tea House is surrounded by tall bamboos. Walk up the three levels tower to have a look at the beautiful view of the hills and the bamboo forest around you. Back at the tea house, enjoy some Chinese green tea. 

After lunch at a local restaurant, you will drive to the hotel for check-in (around 40 minutes).

At the hotel, you will participate in a Chinese Calligraphy class, ideal opportunity to show off your brushing skills and practice your strokes.

In the evening, taste some delicious local food at the hotel served sharing style in a private room of the hotel.

In the morning, enjoy some sharing style breakfast at the hotel.

Afterwards, get into a comfortable outfit for our morning Tai Chi class in the hotel’s courtyard. Described as "meditation in motion", Tai Chi can help to release stress and strengthen muscles. Eligibly Tai Chi masters never catch a cold! Then drive to Xianshan lake (around 1 hour). After lunch at local restaurant, you may choose to take a short boat trip on the lake (not included) or simply wonder around the lake at your leisure. Upon your return to the hotel (around 1 hour), you will get a tour of the hotel’s own small Art Gallery. The collection includes porcelain and jade antique pieces.  

In the evening, enjoy a special dinner at the hotel.

In the morning, the early risers can choose to join a Yoga class followed by some sharing style breakfast at the hotel.

Afterwards, drive to Nanxun Ancient Town (around 1 ½ hours).

Nanxun Ancient Town is one of the six ancient water towns located in the Jiangsu and Zhejiang area. Though less known than some of the other ones, Nanxun used to be the richest of the six. Once nicknamed both the ‘the land of fish and rice’ and ‘silk market’, Nanxun surprises its visitors by its unique combination of western and Chinese cultures visible in its architecture. Take a look at its lovely Little Lotus Garden and private library Jia Ye Tang.

You will have the opportunity to explore Nanxun onboard a small wooden boat for a 40 minutes trip along its canals.

After lunch at a local restaurant, you will make your way back to Shanghai (around 1 hour).

Cancellation Policy

  • If any cancellation is received following a booking, the following general cancellation policy will apply:
  • Between 30 and 21 days prior to arrival : 20% of total amount is due
  • Between 20 and 7 days prior to arrival : 50% of total amount is due
  • Between 6 days and 2 day prior to arrival: 75% of total amount is due
  • 1 day or No-show: 100% of total amount is due

Thomas Cook China will not be liable for performance delays or for non-performance, due to causes beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to acts of God, actions by any government authority (whether valid or invalid), fires, floods, windstorms, riots, explosions, natural disasters, wars, sabotage, labor problems (including lockouts, strikes and slowdowns), or court injunction or order.
