D1Shanghai - Hangzhou

Take a high-speed train from Shanghai to Hangzhou in the morning. Upon arrival, make your own way to your boutique hotel with modern Chinese elements. (Note: there is a taxi ramp outside of the station. Take one from there. Make sure the taxi driver is using a meter. The total fare will approximately RMB 60)

Enjoy some free time at your leisure during the rest of the day. You may choose to Lingyin Temple, walk around the tea plantations set along misty hills or visit the Botanical Gardens and the Tea Museum

If you are interested in activities like batik dying, flower design or tea picking (April only), we can arrange this for you. 

In the evening, head to a local Hangzhou restaurant and try the local delicacies such as beggar’s chicken, vinegar fish and longjing tea shrimp.

Enjoy some free time at your leisure. 

You may continue to explore the tea plantations or head to the famous West Lake. Stroll along the willowed-lined banks of the lake and explore Buddhist temples dating back to 326 AD. 

Late afternoon, take a taxi back to Hangzhou railway station and then a high speed train back to Shanghai, in 2nd class.

Payment
Full payment is due 30 days prior to departure. Thomas Cook China reserves the right to release all services in case of payment default. 

Cancellation Policy
If any cancellation is received following a booking, the following general cancellation policy will apply:
•    Between 30 and 21 days prior to arrival : 20% of total amount is due
•    Between 20 and 7 days prior to arrival : 50% of total amount is due 
•    Between 6 days and 2 day prior to arrival: 75% of total amount is due 
•    1 day or No-show: 100% of total amount is due

Force Majeure
Thomas Cook China will not be liable for performance delays or for non-performance, due to causes beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to acts of God, actions by any government authority (whether valid or invalid), fires, floods, windstorms, riots, explosions, natural disasters, wars, sabotage, labor problems (including lockouts, strikes and slowdowns), or court injunction or order.
