D1Arrival - Ulaanbaatar

Upon arrival, be met and transfer to your hotel. Visit the Central Square and the Genghis Khan Monument. In the evening, enjoy a Mongolian Folklore Concert.

D2Ulaanbaatar – Kharkhorum – Erdenezuu Monastery

Drive to Kharkhorum an ancient capital city of Mongolia, established in 1220 by Ogoodei Khaan, the successor of Genghis Khan. Kharkhorum was the capital for 150 years before it was destroyed by Chinese soldiers. According to the historical evidences, Kharkhorum hosted travellers and merchants along the Silk Road. In 1586, the first Buddhist monastery in Mongolia, Erdenezuu was built nearby the ruin of Kharkhorum. Most construction materials of the monastery are taken from ruin of the old capital. Currently, Erdenezuu holds daily Buddhist service and operates a museum.

D3Hustai National Park

Visit Erdene Zuu, once one of the largest monasteries in Mongolia and almost destroyed in the 1930s. Tour of the monastery grounds and several chapels with excellent examples of Buddhist iconography dating from the 16th century. Visit the symbolic ruins of Karakorum, the 13th century capital of the Mongol Empire. Then, drive to Bayangobi Sand Dunes for sightseeing at this interesting sand stretch and picturesque rocky mountain of Khugnukhaan. In the afternoon, drive to Hustai National Park. During dinner, view a wildlife documentary about the Hustai natural reserve.

D4Hustai National Park

Begin your day with the Przewslki wild horses, who are raised in the reserve in semi-captivity. Then drive to a nomad settlement at the Bayansonginot, where we watch how Mongolian felt is made, and the processing of animal hides and skins. Enjoy lunch with local nomads and learn about their way of life. Learn how dairy products are produced at the Mandal community.

D5Hustai National Park - Terelj National Park

Today, explore Terelj National Park. Stroll around flowering meadows, view the famous Turtle Rock against a backdrop of pine covered mountains and wander along the wooded banks of a mountain stream.  Visit a riyabal meditation temple. Option to enjoy activities such as rafting, riding, hiking, and mountain biking.

D6Terelj National Park - Ulaanbaatar

Visit the Genghis Khan Grand Monument in Tsonjin Boldog and learn about Mongolia’s medieval history and Genghis Khan’s life. 

In the afternoon, return to Ulaanbaatar. Visit the Mongolian National History Museum.

Full payment is due 14 days prior to departure. Thomas Cook China reserves the right to release all services in case of payment default. 



Between 30 and 21 days prior to arrival : 20% of total amount is due

Between 20 and 7 days prior to arrival : 50% of total amount is due 

Between 6 days and 2 day prior to arrival: 75% of total amount is due 

1 day or No-show: 100% of total amount is due



Itinerary is subject to change depending on the confirmed flights, road conditions, and rooms availability.  We reserve the right to replace above hotels by other hotels of similar or superior category.

Airport taxes and fuel surcharge can increase without prior notice by governmental authorities. We reserve the right to apply the increase with immediate effect starting from the date of increase. Flights details and schedules mentioned in the program might be modified.

Passport must be valid minimum 6 (six) months after departure day.

There must be enough empty pages in the passport to print the visa + stamp upon arrival and departure  

If you are traveling to several countries and enter two times the same country, make sure you have a double entry visa.
