D1Arrival in Kathmandu

You will be welcomed at Kathmandu airport.  

Then you will be transferred to your hotel in Thamel, check and meet with tour leader in the evening.

D2Kathmandu

After the breakfast, your tour guide will pick you up for a city tour of Kathmandu. You will visit several medieval and spiritual sites which are listed as UNESCO World Heritage Sites including the historic Kathmandu Durbar Square, the Hindu god temple of Pashupati Nath and cremation place of Hindus which is on the bank of the Holy River called Bagmati, the famous Hindu and Buddhist shrine ‘Monkey Temple’ (Swayambhunath) and one of the biggest stupa in Asia, Bouddha Nath.

After the visit, you will meet your trekking guide who will provide you with any equipment you might need (please request in advance). You will then have time to pack your belongings and get mentally ready for your Annapurna ascension.

D3Drive to Pokhara from Kathmandu

After breakfast, you will leave for a six to seven hours drive from Kathmandu to Pokhara on a comfortable tourist bus. Pokhara, which is located at an altitude of only 910 meters, will surprise you with brilliant views of the mountains reflected in the blue water of the lakes.

D4Drive to Nayapul and Trek to Thike Dhunga

Today, you will start trekking.  After reaching Nayapul by car, you will trek for about 4 hours along the a fairly easy trail to Tikhe Dhunga. It is an enjoyable walk through nice settlement villages, along the river and in the forest.

D5Trek to Ghorepani

After breakfast, you will start climbing up hill for around 2 hours to reach Ulleri village (2050m), which is located 3000 steps from Thike Dhunga. Then you will continue walking for 4 hours on a flatter trail through the tropical forest covered with rhododendron, oak and other wild flowers.

D6Hike Poonhill and Trek to Tadapani

This morning you will wake up early and start hiking to PoonHill. Located at 3210 meters, PoonHill is one of the best view points in Nepal From there, you will see the sunrise and observe panoramic mountain views of the Annapurna range, Dhaulagiri and Machhapuchhre (Fish Tail). After the sunrise, you will enjoy some breakfast and continue trekking to Tadapani.

D7Trek to Sinuwa

After another sunrise and beautiful mountain views of Annapurna South (7129m), Hiun Chuli (6440m) and Mt Fishtail (6997m), you have a breakfast and start walking downhill for 2 hours. At the bottom, you cross the river and climb a hill to reach a village called Gurjung. You stop there for tea. Then, you will continue trekking on fairly flat paths to reach Chhomrong, one of the big gurung settlement villages where you will have lunch. After lunch, it will take another 2 hours to reach Sinuwa where you will spend the night.

D8Trek to Deurali

Today you will continue our trekking to reach Deurali via Bamboo and Dovan. You will walk through a deep gorge and on the bank of a river called Modi Khola. If you are lucky, you will be able to see some wildlife such as Himalayan monkeys, birds and goats.

D9Trek to Annapurna Base Camp

Today you will reach to your goal! The trekking from Deurali to Annapurna base camp takes about 5 hours via Machhapuchhre (Fishtail) base camp. You will be overwhelmed by the scenic beauty of the place and its high snowcapped mountains.

D10Trek Down to Bamboo

After a sunrise view from Annapurna base camp with high mountains, you will start going down all the way to Bamboo with a stop at Himalayan or Dovan for lunch.

D11Trek to Jhinu hot spring

You will follow the same trail down until Chommrong. From Chommrong, you can take a steep trail down to the Jhinu hot springs where you can bathe and relax in the evening.

D12Trek to Pothana

The first part of the trek goes down and then it will be flat until Himal Pani. Here, you will find a beautiful waterfall. Beyond this town, the trail ascends gently crossing numerous streams and terraces. After a short trek, you will reach Landruk village (1545m), a pretty big village inhabited by mixed community of Gurung, Magar and Brahmin. Now the trail ascends gently to Tolka (1700m) and then Bherikharka.

D13Trek to Phedi via Dhampus and drive to Pokhara

The trek from Pothana to Phedi via Dhampus takes approximately three hours. You will then drive from Phedi to Pokhara by private vehicle (around 30 minutes).

D14Drive back to Kathmandu

Drive back to Kathmandu by tourist bus. 6-7 hours.

Today you will be transferred to Kathmandu airport in time for your flight home.

 Note: The tour runs year round but March to May and September to December is the best time to do this trek mainly due to weather conditions.

Payment

Full payment is due 14 days prior to departure. Thomas Cook China reserves the right to release all services in case of payment default.

Cancellation Policy

If any cancellation is received following a booking, the following general cancellation policy will apply:

  • Between 30 and 21 days prior to arrival : 20% of total amount is due
  • Between 20 and 7 days prior to arrival : 50% of total amount is due
  • Between 6 days and 2 day prior to arrival: 75% of total amount is due
  • 1 day or No-show: 100% of total amount is due

Force Majeure

Thomas Cook China will not be liable for performance delays or for non-performance, due to causes beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to acts of God, actions by any government authority (whether valid or invalid), fires, floods, windstorms, riots, explosions, natural disasters, wars, sabotage, labor problems (including lockouts, strikes and slowdowns), or court injunction or order.

  • Please make sure that your passport is valid for at least 6 months after your departure date and has a minimum of 2 blank pages available for visa and stamps.
