D3Praslin Island & La Digue Island

After breakfast, enjoy a full day of free time to explore the Seychelles and the resort facilities, or choose to enhance your holiday with an optional tour.

  • Optional Tour: Praslin & La Digue Island-hopping Day Tour

Your private air-conditioned tour vehicle will pick you up from the hotel and bring you to the harbour, where you will hop aboard the “Cat Cocos” ferry boat towards the Seychelles’ second largest island, Praslin. Here, you will visit the world’s smallest UNESCO World Heritage Site, the Vallée de Mai nature preserve. It is home to over 7,000 sea coconut trees, the world’s largest known fruits and a national treasure of the Seychelles. Sea coconuts take up to 10 years to mature and reach a typical weight of 10kg. These fruits have inspired countless local legends. Praslin is also home to the near-endangered black parrot. Only 300-400 of these rare birds remain worldwide.

Next visit La Digue, the third largest island of the Seychelles. Upon arrival, you will travel by ox cart or pickup truck to a local restaurant for a delicious lunch. After lunch, visit L’Union Estate, a colonial coconut plantation, to learn about traditional coconut oil pressing techniques and see some well-preserved traditional Creole dwellings and boats along the shore.

You will then spend some time on the picture-perfect Anse Source d’Argent beach, where imposing ancient granite rock structures and swaying coconut trees are set against incredibly fine, powdery sand and crystal-clear waters. You can also visit the Aldabrachelys Gigantea Farm to see another local national treasure, the largest turtle in the world. You will then have an afternoon of free time to explore the beach.

You can also visit the breathtaking Anse Lazio beach, named the world’s second most beautiful beach by National Geographic Magazine.

D4Mahé Island

After breakfast, enjoy a full day of free time to explore Seychelles and the resort facilities, or choose to enhance your holiday with an optional tour.

  • Optional Tour: Sainte Anne Marine National Park Day Tour

Travel to Sainte Anne Marine National Park, which spans eight small islands and the surrounding waters. Built in 1973, fishing and water-skiing are forbidden in this national park to preserve its precious marine life. However, diving, snorkelling and glass-bottom boat tours are permitted, allowing guests to view the breathtaking natural wonders beneath the water’s surface.

The tour will make a quick stop at one or two of the islands, where you will enjoy a delicious barbecue lunch. While exploring the island, you might get a chance to meet a friendly giant tortoise.

  • Optional Tours: Mahé Island Day Tour

Your private vehicle will pick you up from the hotel and embark on a day of exploration across Mahé island to visit the attractions of your choice. We recommend visiting the capital and Seychelles’ busiest city, Victoria. A popular local landmark here is the Victoria Clocktower, which resembles London’s Big Ben. You can also visit the city’s church, post office and fishing village, and browse its colourful souvenir shops.

An authentic Creole lunch, made with fresh local ingredients, will be served in a small garden. Next, visit the ruins of an old church school, where Queen Elizabeth II is said to have sat at the pavilion during her visit, and was reluctant to leave the beautiful view. For the rest of your tour, the driver will bring you to any beach of your choice on Mahé island.
