D2DEPARTURE SUZHOU

In the morning, you will visit the Garden of the Master of Nets and Suzhou Museum

The Garden of the Master of the Nets is the smallest garden in Suzhou. Its laid back atmosphere is enjoyed by locals and travellers alike. You will notice some people reading, painting, resting, sipping tea. Located nearby the garden, Suzhou Museum is a museum of ancient Chinese art which contains ancient Chinese paintings, calligraphies and hand-made crafts. It has more than 15,000 pieces in its collections.

After lunch at a local restaurant, you will take a  rickshaw ride along Pingjiang road and visit the Silk museum.

The 800-year old Pingjiang Road is the best preserved ancient water lane in Suzhou. It is a 1600 meters long street  combining both Chinese tradition and modernity.

As well as being known as the “Venice of the East”, Suzhou is also the silk capital of China. Suzhou Silk Museum documents the history of silk production and Suzhou embroidery from around 2000 BC.
